Newspaper advert: finished
With my newspaper advert finished i'll be able to use it to put up into a local newspaper, I have decided the best newspaper for the advertisement would be the metro, as it is located on trains and will be the most probable newspaper where younger people will read it.

Details of video content for website
The video content of the website will be a short advertisement basically showing the channel, what channel genre it is and what it will contain, it'll do this by having a compliation of programme clips that it'll be airing, a voiceover explaining the channel (or alternatively, the clips are in order and timing that random words form sentences that explain the subject clearly), when it is coming out, channel number and contact information.
By using a video editting software, either sony vegas at home or adobe premiere at school, I'll be able to get clips from the programmes that'll be showing on my channel and compile them together into a quick montage of scenes and audio that'll show an exciting, active and funny view of the channel, indicating it's genre clearly to the audience.
The beginning of the video will begin with a montage of scenes with bored or sad characters within the programmes and sad music in the background, as this is happening a overvoice is asking questions such as "Is TV just not the same anymore" and "Bored of the same old same old" and then the mode changes abruptly introducing the channels title in a angellic way and then after this part having exciting and funny scenes of the programmes to be shown on the channel and then ending with the channels title, when it is coming and what channel number it is.

Designs of secondary tasks
- Advertising is a form of communication used to persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to take some action with respect to products, ideas, or services.
My secondary task is to create a newspaper advertisement for my new TV channel
My design will have to be very interesting as to attract the eyes of viewers, advertisements are generally phased out by people due to developing a almost natural "information block" and so will only be captivated if the advertisement doesn't actually look like an advertisement, the advert will need to have the web adresss of my website and the date and number of the channel.

Audience Feedback
Oliver Coghill 28:
I think that the overall product is great, a new channel that has shows like this on more would be much more interesting then what is on most channels nowadays, but I would say that maybe have a larger variation of show genres to be put in at different times so as to increase the overall audience interest.
Roxanne Coghill 21:
While the idea is good, I think that it would be made even better if you put in a wider category of channels as well as to give the channel a certain recurring theme such as virgin had a little red monster mascot at one point, or simply keep the colour of the products each pieces similar.
Simon Brown 17:
The main idea is pretty good, but for the advert I’d say make sure you put it in newspapers that are often used on trains as those are the ones people of that age group are most likely to read, going to their centre of education in the morning.
Alex Paies 18:
As the channel is new, maybe have a shout box on the website to allow people to say what kind of shows they want to see or what shows they want to see specifically.

Proposal
I want to create a television which shows comedys and sitcoms (situational comedies)such as simpsons, Malcom in the middle, how I met your mother and teen dramas such as Inbetweeners and skins. The channel is primarily aimed towards ages of 12-21 who are mostly still in education and taking part time jobs the programmes primarily focused around them and their interests, along with the channel I will make a website to further promote and show information about the channel, I will make it using dreamweaver and fireworks. As well as this, I will be making a promotional advert to be used in newspapers, primarily newspapers which are used on trains such as the metro, this is to get the audience of students who pick up newspapers that have been left on train rides on their way to their education centre, also, to allow the audience to voice their opinion I may implement a shoutbox to allow them to have their say on what shows would best fit the channel.

Website templates
Here are a few website template designs for my website.

There are many different type of website templates such as Illustrations and Cartoons, Two Tone Colour, Photo-Realism, Transparency, Beautiful Typography etc.

Illustrations and cartoon drawings are creative by definition and by incorporating it into the website’s design it gives the website a comical and entertaining view.

Two tone colour, when used well can allow focus on other aspects of the design such as layout and text. More focus can be placed on the content as this style of web design ties in well with a minimalistic design.

Photo-realism is a technique that focuses on familiarity because of the associated realism of the image. It is excellent to use as a background image due to it immersing the viewer in a realistic type of scene.

Transparency is an excellent way to make text more readable. Doing so also preserves the part of the image behind the text so that the full image can still be slightly seen.

Good typography can make the text an entertaining form of art. Good typography could attract the attention of the reader as well as be the information they were looking for.
